reports that today, the New York City Board of Health is poised “to vote...on a groundbreaking rule that would slap a black-and-white salt-shaker emblem on chain-eatery dishes with more than the recommended daily limit of 2,300 milligrams – about a teaspoon – of sodium.” If the rule is passed, “New York would be the first US city with such a requirement.” The rule would go into effect Dec. 1.
