reports the New England Journal of Medicine on Wednesday published a study which found Zika in the brain tissue of a microcephalic fetus that had been carried by a European women who had Zika symptoms in the 13th week of her pregnancy while she was living in Brazil. The detailed report says the women terminated the pregnancy after ultrasounds of the fetus began to show microcephaly symptoms in the 29th week of gestation after she had returned to Europe.
