reports a new study suggests that pre-pregnancy stress hormone levels “may affect a woman’s risk of having a low birth weight baby.” Researchers looked at 142 pregnant women and found that abnormal levels of cortisol “is associated with delivering a baby that weighs less at birth.” The findings were published in the journal Health Psychology.
