eports that more US adolescents “have diabetes or prediabetes than previously thought, and many don’t know they have the blood-sugar disease,” a research letter published July 19 in the Journal of the American Medical Association suggests. The study found that “nearly one percent of more than 2,600 teens studied had diabetes – with almost one in three cases undiagnosed.”
