Expectant Moms Who Receive Probiotic Supplementation May Have Reduced Prevalence Of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus, Study Indicates.
Pregnant women who received Lactobacillus rhamnosus HN001 supplementation between 14 weeks and 16 weeks of gestation had a significantly reduced prevalence of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) compared with patients receiving placebo,” researchers found in a randomized study involving 423 expectant mothers.
