Women Who Consume Foods With A Higher Dietary Acid Load May Be More Likely To Develop Gestational Diabetes,
reports, “Women who consume foods with a higher dietary acid load are more likely to develop gestational diabetes when compared with women who consume a lower dietary acid load,” researchers concluded after analyzing “data from 263 healthy pregnant women and 200 pregnant women with gestational diabetes between five and 28 weeks’ gestation,” then adjusting for confounding factors.
