Higher Concentrations Of Vitamin D In Blood May Be Tied To Lower Risk Of Colorectal Cancer
reports researchers at the National Cancer Institute and other institutions found “higher concentrations of vitamin D circulating in the bloodstream are linked to a lower risk of colorectal cancer.” The findings were published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.
NPR (6/14, Neighmond) reports on its “All Things Considered” program and its “Shots” blog that the study “provides the strongest evidence yet that vitamin D may indeed be protective against colorectal cancer and that a deficiency may increase the risk of this cancer.” https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2018/06/14/619896924/does-vitamin-d-really-protect-against-colorectal-cancer
