Consider Caribbean Virus Before Treating RA
Chikungunya virus only recently began to be reported in the U.S., having previously been unknown in the Americas. It's an arthritogenic virus spread in the Caribbean by the Aedes aegypti mosquito, which typically is found only along the Gulf coast, but a viral mutation has allowed it also to be carried by Aedes albopictus, which can be found in many areas of the country.
