Certain Genes Driving Circadian Sleep Cycle May Be Tied To Diabetes Risk.

Below presented research on a large community of Mexican Americans -- who have a high prevalence of obesity and diabetes -- at the American Society of Human Genetics meeting in San Diego this week. She and her colleagues found that genes driving the circadian sleep cycle that affect sleep quality may also be associated with diabetes risk.
