Number Of Dengue Fever Cases In Hawaii Grows.
reports that the number of dengue fever cases reported on Hawaii’s big island has reached 136, “prompting health authorities this week to warn residents and travelers...to take precautions to avoid contracting the virus.” The first cases in the current outbreak can be traced to September, and they have “developed into what is now being treated as a cluster of 106 adults and 30 children.” The outbreak is also occurring at the beginning of the island’s peak tourist season.
