Early Menopause Tied To Increased Risk For Chronic Conditions, Study Suggests

reports a study from the University of Queensland suggests “early menopause triples the chance of women experiencing multiple chronic conditions, such as heart disease and diabetes, in their 60s.” The study of over 5,000 women followed for a 20-year period “suggests that those who experience the change at 40 or younger are at far greater risk of illness and should be screened.” The study was published in Human Reproduction. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/2020/01/20/early-menopause-raises-risk-string-chronic-conditions/
